The Tarnsman

I woke annoyed by giggling echoing within the apartment I slowly dragging myself off the couch I grabbed a light house robe throwing it over me, as I start to fallow Kandia’s giggling I knew it was her I became accustomed to her voice…. I walked in to see her laying back on a small table she was nude and squealing “Kandia!” I cried out “What are you doing” just then a man’s head popped up from between her thighs and he grinned to me “Lady I am told you seek a Tarnsman” throwing my hand over to the side of my face covering my view I startled out “Oh, by Jimmeny, I did not wake up to this?”  He laughed as his arm sweeps across the table as Kandia screams out in protest before hitting the floor, without a thought I saw Kandia race to the other room, the man invited me to sit. I snorted unimpressedly this man has came into my apartment and seem to had made himself beyond comfortable he seemed to made himself head of my house, though very annoyed I thought best to take up the invite after all he was a tarnsman and I had sent my collared friendin to seek one for me and like the most wonderful of slaves she did just that, perhaps more over that I had the key to her collar is why she fallowed my plans and orders or perhaps she like I have grown fond of the other, after all she no longer was required to call me Mistress, she wore garments of a Free Woman within our shared apartment, yet when all these freedoms granted she still wore the collar about her neck and to everyone else that would see her she is a slave and she played her role very well….

I sat upon my heels across from my bold house guest my robe pulled closed and close by my fist gripping them I looked over to him, as Kandia with tray with breads and some cheeses in hand than an offer of wine, and he smiled as he accepted her wine and than the smile broaden more as he looked to me again ”Do I muse you Sir?” annoyed in my voice, “Yes” he responded “I have never seen a High Caste Free Woman’s flesh before that was not in a collar” I gasps out as I grabbed a knife that was stuck deep into a wedge of cheese “You will NOT get any ideas” I screamed as the robe feel open leaving my brief tunic exposed, he roared with laughter as he stood up calm he was as he walked closer “Not another step I will not be insulted in my own house” I screamed out and he laughed more, I was angry, ready to defend and than he spoke “Lady, I am a Warrior” I dropped the knife “Will you slay me?” he chuckled shaking his head “I would if you had drew a weapon” canting my head confused perhaps I should not have stated this a fool would point out that I did just that and I being young and foolish I did so “I had a knife” he laughed as he leaned down grabbing the hilt of the knife ” No Lady, you threatened me with cheese” he roared laughing taking a bite of the wedge much like one would bite into a drumstick, I blushed upset at myself for being a fool and yet graced with dumb luck. I watched him sit down crossing his legs and commanded Kandia over to his side for more wine. My heart still raising and my breath starting to slow from my fear I returned to sitting across from him, I watched as he placed his hand between Kandia’s thighs forcing her to take the pose of a pleasure slave to him she looked to me I saw she feared me and than turned her head to him lowering it as she stayed there, he spoke again to me “I Like you Lady, you have spunk, you are brave” “I was scared” I responded” “No, you was brave… you value who you are, I can see it….” He paused for a bit as he pushed Kandia’s legs closed again and than looked to me once more “And I respect it” “it is your code I am told to see those who are free and honor it” I added as he looked to me with a beaming smile “Aii” he took a drink before continuing “you are familiar with the code, you will make a fine bride one day” I jerked my head almost sicked by his words, and he laughed to my response “Oh Dear Sweet Beautiful Lady” He roared “You fear men” “No” I shouted “I just find them disgusting” I could see Kandia’s head drop from a slave’s downcast to now one of disbelief I swear she groaned out… The Tarnsman laughed even more “You are still a child, you will find we men are more than means of protection” perhaps he was right though I do not believe so. The morning went on, he and I exchanged business and the more he and I talked about our deal the more and more I found him foul, smelly and just over all a man. When the price came up he had asked for a Double Gold Tarn, I cried out in protest “I could buy my own tarn for that, and have much left over!” he mused”Yes, why yes you could, but can you fly it?” my jaw dropped I looked to him and stuttered a few words of unknown language even to my understanding than conceded “no, I just don’t have that kind of coin” Kandia jumped in bold, snapping out “Mistress don’t have that kind of coin here…..” his hand struck out backslapping her “silents!” he commanded, seeing this display I knew that I would never wish to be enslaved, Kandia looked to me her hand on her face I could see it was heavily redden, she looked to me her eyes I could see questioning me, how was it this man seemed to be so welcoming to my spiritness and yet greeted her’s with a sturn  and I now see this man was no fool, he was true a warrior of the highest regards and a Master, he spoke of his code to to recognise those who are free and honor it, and seems he stood by his code unyieldings and I was pleased though we shared no home stone he saw it in me, I was in his eyes a Free Woman and has sworn in the silence of his mind to protect that.

He stood up once more placed his thumbs in the belt that held his sword to his side he took my hand bringing it to his lips, I was stocked by this he touched me yet as much as I wanted to jerk my hand from him and strike him I was not about to push my luck with him for I needed him, he brought his lips to the back of my hand than looked to me his eyes green like that of the sea I stood there my jaw slacked and I herd him say softly a voice full of charm “They call me Haaka and I will see you first thing the Marrow’s light, met me at the the Tarn’s Keep” still lost in his eyes I nodded “and what of your pay?” he let go of my hand picked up his helm placing it on as he started walking to the door “we will speak of that on the way south”
